How Our School Acts Green
Each of our teachers received a gift bag at the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. The bags are made from 100% organic cotton in the USA. Each bag contained a corn-based bottle with water filter. The water bottles biodegrade in just 80 days in commercial compost systems. Also included in the bags were certified organic soaps and 100% natural beeswax candles.
Each of our students also received a corn-based bottle with water filter. The bottles can be used up to 16 weeks before replacing the filters. Filters are available at the school store. The students also have the opportunity to change their labels every day. We encourage use of recycled paper for printing!
