The Arts
The visual arts program fosters students' understanding of art and its production, as well as an appreciation of the aesthetic properties of art and other related works.
In the elementary drama program, the artistic process encourages children to act out their perceptions of the world in order to understand it. The primary emphasis is on personal development and creative expression.
Music education involves musical production, history, aesthetics, and criticism. Each of these disciplines provides a different perspective that contributes to a fuller understanding of the work. The goal is the students learn to perceive, create, comprehend and judge music.
The dance movement program seeks to establish a balance between active participation and analytical study. Self-expression is promoted through training in dance techniques, development of self-discipline and creative problem solving.
