Welcome to the November edition of the newsletter. It is amazing that we are in the second quarter! The teachers are diving into data and making needed changes to their lessons to meet the needs of all their students. I want to thank everyone who bought a book at the Book Fair for their child. It is important for a child to read daily and listening to them read is a wonderful way to spend time with your child. Research shows students who develop a habit of reading each day will: develop more vocabulary, increase their attention span, better prepare them for school, lead to a lifelong love for books and encourage a thirst for knowledge. The holidays are right around the corner and a book is wonderful gift for any child. As we approach the holiday season, I want to let you know how thankful I am for all the wonderful students and families we have at Edison Park!!!

LET THE SHOW BEGIN!!!!!
EPCEA is proud to announce our first performance of the year! 4th Grade has been working hard on "Carnival of the Animals". This performance will include dancing, storytelling, and music! "Carnival of the Animals" is adapted from the music by Mr. Camille Saint-Saens and poetry written by Mr. Ogden Nash. We will see lions, elephants, sea creatures and more come to life on our historic stage. The EPCEA arts team is excited to open the house once again to a full audience for our family and friends show on Thursday, November 4th at 6:30 PM. We do not charge a fee for our shows, but donations are greatly appreciated. 4th grade students will arrive back to school on Nov. 4th at 5:45 PM. Doors open for first-come, first-serve seating at 6:00 PM. Welcome all to a "Carnival of the Animals"!
