Mission: to help students focus on academic, personal/social & career development so students achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.
Developmental Guidance program includes but is not limited to:
Large Group Guidance for classes K-5. Topics include:
- Character Education (Responsibility, Tolerance, Respect, Patriotism/Citizenship, Compassion, Commitment, Honesty, Courage, Integrity, Self-Control)
- Bully Prevention Awareness & Strategies
- Social Skills
- Study Skills
- Self-esteem & advocacy
- Test Anxiety Strategies
- Career Development
- Success in Middle School (a book study for 5th graders)
Small groups are also offered. Topics Include:
- Divorce/separation
- Impulse control
- Anxiety
Individual counseling by teacher or parent referral or for Tier III behavior interventions
